The Life and Times of a Mid 20th Century Family
By Ora Clark.
The author was fortunate in finding a treasure trove of letters written by his wife to her mother-in-law covering the years from about 1957 to about 1985. These letters have been transcribed into the book forming the backbone for a family history.
The trials and joys as five children are raised from childhood to responsible adulthood are filled with humor and tears at times. In the process of reading these letters, he realizes that he was somewhat of a failure as a husband and a father.
Throughout the book, he holds nothing back; any skeletons buried in his closet are brought to the light of day.
